Cheylatiella
Cheyla was a pit bull rescued by Dr. Berkeridge while she was a veterinary student in Athens, Georgia. After being saved along with many other pit bulls when a dog fighting ring was shut down, she was destined to be euthenized being evaluated as too aggressive to save and domesticate. Dr. Berkeridge was asked to foster one of the dogs that were saved and she picked Cheyla, the lost cause given up by everyone else. Read about Cheyla's incredible journey from huddling under a bench in a shelter in Georgia to being the poster child of our rescue, here.
